Our Debt Recoveries department specialises in all forms of debt recovery inclusive of:

• Commercial debt collections;
• Consumer debt collections and
• Property debt collections.

Our department practises in the high court, regional court and the magistrate’s court. We attend to the recovery of secured and unsecured debt with consistent success. The department’s skilled staff handle large numbers of debt recoveries, in the most cost effective manner, for clients.

The Debt Recoveries department services a leading financial institution, Property management companies, Body Corporates and Home owners associations. We handle Bulk collections for schools and financial service providers. Our department will attend to recovery in any matter where money is in dispute.

For some clients a set tariff is in operation whereby the client knows in advance precisely what the cost per matter will be, regardless of disbursements. For other clients we have a standard schedule of fees which reflects our fee for all work done.

An additional service provided to clients is the sending of large numbers of letters of demands, whereby clients will e-mail Stegmanns the details of the particular claim and that of the debtor/s. The demands are printed and dispatched in envelopes bearing the clients address for return purposes if undelivered. As only one file is opened per batch of demands, we are able to keep the costs to an absolute minimum whilst experience is proving that the reaction of debtors far more than justifies the costs incurred.

The Debt Recoveries department will communicate with clients via e-mail when the files are processed; this is time and cost effective whilst accounting to clients is performed on a monthly basis in order for the client to easily monitor the progress, cost and recoveries on an ongoing basis. If required by the client, a tracing service can be provided on a no trace / no fee basis.

We are the acting attorneys for various Schools in Pretoria such as Sutherland High School, Brooklyn Primary School and Pretoria Preparatory just to name a few. Our department is on the panel of attorneys dealing with African bank Collections and we also collect for Rainbow Finance who is a division of Shoprite Checkers and House & Home.
